Alicia Tamboia’s Coach Speaks Out: She Was A ‘Great Kid’
This is so devastating. Alicia was a 2008 graduate of Dover High School in New York — and her school’s Athletic Director, Bob Esposito, is opening up about Alicia’s amazing spirit.
e, but she was really into field hockey,” Bob tells thePoughkeepsie Journal. “Great kid. Good student. Dedicated to athletics — hands down. Popular, lot of friends, nice girl.”
Alicia was on the hockey, basketball and softball teams at her high school. Teacher Kim Knittel, who coached Alicia in basketball, echoed Bob’s thoughts.
“She was a go-getter. She just had a good work ethic. She had so many plans. She was tough. She was always the one that was taking charges. A no-nonsense type of kid — which is great for a coach,” Kim told the Poughkeepsie Journal.
What a sad situation for everyone who knew and loved Alicia. Our thoughts are with her family and friends.
