Barcelona reach agreement for Claudio Bravo #Kiddas Entertainment @sskida1

The Catalan giants confirmed the four-year deal on their official website on Wednesday , with the Chile goalkeeper joining up with his new side once the World Cup is over.

Barcelona have reached an agreement with Real Sociedad over the transfer of Chilean goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.

The 31-year-old – who is currently at the World Cup with his national side – is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Spanish giants although Barcelona have not revealed his transfer fee.

Bravo - who has started all three of Chile’s World Cup matches so far - will join the Catalan team after the tournament in Brazil.

The goalkeeper will add further depth to Barcelona’s options in that department after the club signed shot-stopper Marc-Andre ter Stegen from Borussia Monchengladbach in May.

Bravo's recruitment will come as welcome news to Barcelona fans following the departures of Victor Valdes – who left his boyhood club after the expiration of his contract this summer – and Jose Manuel Pinto, who was not offered a new deal.

Bravo, who has spent the last eight seasons playing for Sociedad, came through Chilean outfit Colo-Colo's youth system, where he made his first-team debut in 2002 aged 19.
Standing at 1.85m tall, Bravo has played the the second-most matches for any non-Spanish national in San Sebastian and is the third most-capped goalkeeper in Sociedad’s history.
He is best known for his calm demeanour between the posts, his agility and his leadership skills as well as his goal against Gimnastic de Tarragona in 2010.
